It is important we continue to develop our own governance experience and learning. We will continue to take part in appropriate governor training organised by the Trust, supplemented by the National Governors’ Association Online Governor training. This sharing of knowledge across the LGB will enable all our governors to have a thorough understanding of governance, whilst ensuring specific expertise continues to develop. Our training plan will be amended accordingly to ensure all governors over a period undertakes all training modules to deepen our understanding collectively.
Our annual skills audit and self-review will be completed each Autumn Term and is supplemented by the Trust’s Governance review using the APPG 21 questions on governor effectiveness.
We will continue to develop links with other DEMAT LGBs and the Trust Governance Team.
We are ambitious for the pupils in our Schools and will continue to work with our Executive Headteacher and our school team to support and challenge them so that all our children receive the highest quality of education that they deserve.
