Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Payscale: Grade 2 (£14,615 - £16,191 per annum/pro rata)

DEMAT and The Norman Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. Monday to Friday, 26 hours per week/39 weeks per year. Required for September 2018

You will have:

  • good English and maths skills (GCSE or equivalent advisable)
  • teaching assistant qualification (ideally)
  • an interest in helping children to develop positive learning behaviour
  • flexibility to adapt duties and responsibilities as per the needs of the pupils in your care
  • experience of working with children with challenging behaviour
  • a sound understanding of the skills required to support young children's learning
  • the willingness to undertake further training and development
  • the ability to use your own initiative and be flexible
