School Cleaner (Part Time)  Duchy of Lancaster School Methwold

We are seeking to appoint a school cleaner to work as part of a small team at Duchy of Lancaster Methwold Primary School. This position is for two hours each day,  3.30-5.30pm Monday to Friday  during term time. You may also be required to complete similar additional duties during holiday times, under the direction of the caretaker. Training will be provided.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children so you will be required to undertake an enhanced CRB check, provide references; comply with Child Protection policies and practices and provide evidence of any qualifications. 

You will need to:

  • To clean a designated area of the school to the standard required.
  • To replenish sanitary materials (toilet paper, paper towels and soap).
  • To periodically clean the store rooms in the designated areas.
  • To ensure the cleaning equipment is kept in a clean and working order.
  • To be fully aware of and to comply with all departmental instructions and procedures relating to Health and Safety at Work and to recognise the responsibilities required under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • To be fully aware and to comply with the instructions under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (C.O.S.H.H.).
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures within a school environment would be beneficial, but not essential as training is given.
