is seeking to appoint a

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Payscale: Scale 22 (£21,074 pro rata)

DEMAT and The Trinity Partnership of Schools are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work across our 3 schools: Duchy of Lancaster CE Primary School, The Norman CE Primary School and Weeting CE Primary School

Monday to Friday, 27.5 hours per week/39 weeks per year

Required for January 2019

You will have:

  • good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent advisable)
  • the ability to deliver PPA and cover absence across the primary phase
  • experience of working with children in EYFS and an understanding of outdoor learning is desirable
  • an interest in helping children to develop positive learning behaviour
  • flexibility to adapt duties and responsibilities as per the needs of the pupils in your care
  • experience of working with children with challenging behaviour
  • a sound understanding of the skills required to support young children's learning
  • the willingness to undertake further training and development
  • the ability to use your own initiative and be flexible
